Featherlight Photo Prep
Listing Photo Styling

Hands-on styling before photography so every surface, shelf, and sightline reads beautifully.

What to Expect

The final styling pass
your photos deserve.

Featherlight Photo Prep is for homes that are largely ready but still need a professional eye on the final details before the photographer arrives. We use the home's existing furniture and decor to refine surfaces, shelves, beds, baths, entries, and the sightlines that shape every listing image.

Small adjustments can change how spacious, calm, and polished a room feels on camera. The work is focused and practical: remove what distracts, strengthen what already works, and make the property feel cohesive from the first photo to the last.

Best for

Sellers, agents, remodelers, and builders with strong existing pieces who need the property polished immediately before listing or marketing photography.

The Process

Thoughtful direction,
from first look to final detail.

  1. 01

    Plan the photo story

During the walkthrough, we identify the rooms and details that will have the greatest influence on the listing's visual presentation.

  2. 02

    Style what is there

Furniture and decor are edited, arranged, and refined so each photographed space feels intentional without becoming over-styled.

  3. 03

    Make the final pass

Before photography, we check beds, baths, counters, shelves, entries, and connected sightlines so the home reads consistently on camera.

Good to Know

A clear scope makes
the work feel lighter.

01

Photography-day timing

The styling window should allow reasonable access before photography begins. Photographer delays, weather, and changing light are outside the service scope.

02

No ongoing rental

Furniture rental is not included. Any Hummingbird accessories approved for the photo session are removed afterward unless a separate rental agreement is in place.

03

A focused service

Cleaning, packing, organizing, repairs, painting, heavy furniture moving, shopping, and installation are not included unless separately quoted.

Questions, Answered

Before we begin.

How long does listing photo prep take?

Most projects include two to four hours of on-site styling after a 60-minute consultation walkthrough. The minimum styling appointment is two hours.

Does Featherlight Photo Prep include furniture rental?

No. The service is designed around the home's existing furniture and decor. Temporary accessories may be placed for photography and removed afterward when approved in advance.

How is photo prep different from occupied staging?

Photo prep is a focused final styling service for a home that is already mostly ready. Occupied staging is a broader hands-on service that can include furniture layouts, room-by-room restyling, decluttering support, and separately quoted rentals.

Is the photographer included?

No. Hummingbird prepares the property for photography, while the seller or agent schedules and pays the photographer separately.
